While Zim retired a couple of years ago, this great band is extending it's truly fine 30 year history with drummer Wayne Hudson and reedman Gene Bonner at the helm. (And, Zim still takes an active interest too.)

The truly fine band has played for every President since Jimmy Carter. They have backed major entertainers including, Tony Bennett; Bob Hope; The Temptations; Liberace; Joan Rivers; Sammy Davis, Jr., etc......

Normally, the band uses 5 saxes; 4 trumpets; 3 trombones, and the rhythm section, but smaller combos are available for those special functions. There are male and female vocalists, and the music ranges through showcase tunes to Latin, Standards and Rock and Roll. The band has at least 7 CD's available, most under the Hindsight Label. [ Big Band Zuidwolde ]
This wonderful band was originally established in June 1996, under Musical Director Herman Rozema. They play Jazz, Latin, Rock, and also Pop and Film music arrangements for a dancing and joyful evening. The orchestra plays at various festivities, and can be regularly heard at the 'Oosterpoort' cultural centre of Groningen. The band is based in Zuidwolde, Groningen, Groningen, Netherlands, but they do tour widely.

[ The Bob Zimmerman Orch. ]
A great 12 piece orchestra, featuring 5 saxes, 4 brass, piano, bass and drums and girl vocalist. Leader Bob Zimmerman was a native of Shenango Valley, PA, where he played in many of the bands operating during the "'50s". In 1982, he moved to Florida and played in two local bands before organizing his own orchestra in 1994. The band personnel are mostly retired "snowbirds" who have played in military bands and area big bands in their home towns such as Boston, Harrisburg, Reading, Erie, Peoria, Cincinnati, San Deigo, NYC, and Atlantic City. The band is unique as their first trumpet player is a lady. Bob Zimmerman has a very extensive book for big bands and is always interested in selling or trading charts. The band has been very succesful playing venues such as country clubs, mobile home parks, yacht clubs, ballrooms, and private parties in the Tampa Bay area. [ The Dan Zola Orchestra ]
The Dan Zola orchestra consists of 20 members 5,4,4,4 leader and female vocalist. the band has been in business in the Northern Ohio area since 1961 and features music made famous by the great bands of the 40's,50's,60's to the present.The leader is Dan Zola (trumpet). The Dan Zola band has performed with many name band noteables...singers and insrumentalists alike. The band only plays with the full 20 members and does not break down. We are available for concerts, Dances and special events. We've done TV and radio broadcasts and play a steady gig on tuesday evenings at a local restaurant for the past 20 years.

[ Ari Zucker Trio ]
Ari Joshua Zucker '01 has released several records including "Swampdweller", which features Reggie Watts. He is currently working on another CD with the Benevento/Russo Duo. His most recent record 'Chapter One' is to be released nation wide in August of 07' on Wax Orchard Records (nyc) with his trio "AriSawkaDoria" aka ASD. The CD was produced by legendary drummer Michael Shrieve. He appeared on American Idol backing collaborator Blake Lewis as part of his homecoming week to the tune of 60 million viewers.
