   [ The Pavilion Big Band ]
The Pavilion Big Band was formed in 1998 by a group of talented East Anglian musicians with a common interest in reviving the great sounds of the dance band era.

Although the band plays music from the 1920s up to the 1980s, it specialises in dance music of the 30s to 50s and the 'big band' sound of that era. The band's wide repertoire includes traditional waltzes, foxtrots, quicksteps and Latin numbers. Composers and styles range from Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton and other important big band arrangers.

The line-up of the Pavilion Band comprises 5 saxophones, 4 trumpets, 3 trombones, a rhythm section of drums, keyboard and bass, and a male vocalist.

The Pavilion Band performs at functions of all kinds, such as dinner dances, charity events and music festivals and is always pleased to tailor the music to the occasion!

The Dave Pearce Orchestra was formed two years ago by trombonist Dave Pearce. The orchestra's average age is 22, and the orchestra offers a great deal of musical talent. Featured with the band is glamorous singer Helen Rodgers who's voice is remeniscent of Ella Fitzgerald. The music played is that of the swing era from Glenn Miller to Count Basie.

Paddyrasta play a fresh, original blend of reggae and traditional Celtic melodies inter-weaved with heartfelt, socially concious lyrics. The band appeared live on BBC Celtic Connections in February performing 3 songs from their debut album Listen To Your Heart - currently available worldwide through Proper Distribution Ltd. Paddyrasta have received airplay on national radio in both the UK and US with their St Patricks Day single release of a reggae version of Molly Malone being championed by DJs on radio shows. They were voted best band on Talk Sport Radios Mike Mendoza Show and tracks from their album are regularly played on BBC Scotland and the reggae station Big-Up Radio.
