Guitar Chords Chart

THE BIG BANDS DATABASE PLUS

Guitar Chordal Structures by Keys, - in Strings and Frets Display

The fretboard is shown as you look at the guitar with the neck pointing up. The 6 or low-E string (that's the top string when you are playing the guitar) is on the far left of the chart.
The chart shows the first six frets of the fretboard. A dot above the heavy line (the 'nut') denotes an open string. A flashing dot denotes a string that is not played (skipped or muted).
The chords shown are those most often used (perhaps 90% of the time). The student should be sure to have these chords "down pat" before considering alternative chords and fingerings.
