Subject: Big band charts
I am a trombone player in Denmark's most famous swing big band, the Ib Glindemann Orchestra. I am looking for an authentic version of Sy Oliver's composition and arrangement of 'For Dancer's Only' as played by the Jimmie Lunceford Orchestra. I am also looking for an accurate score of 'In A Mellotone' as played in the original 1940 Ellington recording. I have a collection of big band scores ( many with parts ) and I am interested in both buying and trading. I have many Ellington scores with parts and othere swingtime numbers. I have a large tape and record collections with lots of Ellington material including many rare performances and also musivc by my trombone "heroes": Lawrence Brown, Tyree Glenn, Joe Nanton, Britt Woodman, Trummy Youing, Dicky Wells, Murray McEachern, Vic Dickenson, Carl Fontana, Frank Rosolino, Urbie Green, etc. Flemming (in Denmark)
