There are several 'key' points that we ask our visitors to keep in mind.

In an effort to help, we tend to leave your POSTS online for an extended time.
But, this does use up valuable bandwidth. PLEASE, if you are successful in obtaining your wants, PLEASE let us know so that we may delete the completed POST. You may so advise us by just a simple eMail (mlp@nfo.net) stating the Page Number on which your Post appears.

2.) -- ADVERTISEMENTS
From time to time, the Big Bands Database Plus receives eMail asking how one can place an "Ad" on our "Band Charts Pages".
The quick answer is " You can't!"
We DO NOT accept "Ads", - we accept "Posts".
What's the difference?

* The PRIME MISSION of our Band Charts Pages is to provide a "musician to musician" forum.

Our primary mission is to be a place where musicians can swap or trade for missing parts of charts, or find missing instruments sections. We are NOT a commercial sales agency. This is a MUSICIAN TO MUSICIAN TRADE/SWAP FORUM. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO NOT POST COMMERCIAL MESSAGES!

Having said that, we do recognize that some leaders/arrangers may offer some of their own charts for sale. And, since we are sincerely trying to help ALL musicians. we do have a section on our "Links - Sheetmusic" page where one may offer his/her wares. . Of course, this does not stop anyone from replying to our online Posts with their charts for sale.

* We frown on receiving long lists of band charts for sale.
Please try to avoid Posting lists of 25 -50 or more Charts wanted. Our experience indicates that It is not only a waste of valuable bandwidth, but is usually worthless. It is far better to simply state that ALL Charts by a certain arranger or bandleader are wanted, -or similar wording.

* We frown on ANY posting of charts for sale.
Please do NOT ask for such a POST.

If you are engaged in commercial sales of arrangements/charts, you may add your site as a Link on our LINKS PAGES under "Sheet Music - Band Charts". To add a link, Fill out the "Links Form" located near the top of our LINKS page. For your convenience here's the "hotlink" to that page:        http://nfo.net/lnx/index.html
( or - run your Mouse Cursor over the "Resources" prompt on the horizontal Navigation Bar near the top of every one of our pages, and 'click' on LINKS ( and scroll down to 'Sheet Music'. )

* We frown on ANY posting of EITHER COMMERCIAL - OR EVEN NON-COMMERICIAL WEBSITES .
This for much the same reasons as mentioned above. WE ARE NOT A FREE E-BUSINESS SITE.
Please refrain from promoting your own, or any other site - on our Band Charts Pages.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT OUR AUTOSCRIPT DEFAULTS TO SHOWING ONLY YOUR NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS.
*** If you want your "snail mail" address and/or telephone number shown, simple add them in the :"MESSAGE AREA", --- otherwise they will NOT appear.
*** Also, - we request that you please use a Full name, address and telephone number that we can verify.
IF we cannot verify your true name and address, we reserve the right to NOT POST your request.
We ask this for several reasons, but most importantly because YOU would not want to deal with some anonymous entity, and we are sure that you also understand that others feel the same.
Keep in mind that as a non-profit site, WE DO NOT SELL, RENT, SHARE OR SHOW OUR INFORMATION WITH ANYONE. It is for internal use only.
*** If for some reason it is important that your Family (Last) name not be shown, just place in inside Parentheses like this:      Joe (lastname) and our AutoScript will not place it online.
You may also ask by placing a sentence -inside parentheses- in the Message text so:
     ( Please do not show family name.) - then more of the message to Post......

* Remember, we are a musician to musician TRADING / SWAPPING site.

* WE ARE NOT A FREE E-COMMERCE SITE!      If you are a seller, - add your link to our "LINKS - SHEET MUSIC PAGE".

* Please do not promote your site - or any other site - on our pages.

* Please give your Full name, address and listed telephone on our Charts Form.

* Please do NOT send long lists of charts wanted.

* Please try to refrain from foul or otherwise offensive language.

* Please help us to keep this as a place where good musical friends meet.
