Subject: Transposing Tenor parts for Bari
Hi Gang. Everyone here has been so knowledgeable about charts that I think this may be the best place to ask an arranging question. I'm a drummer/leader/vocalist and my arranging skills are very rudimentary.

I recently bought a small 6-horn library to augment my book. My book is for three reeds, mostly alto, tenor, and bari, although some of the charts have two altos instead of bari. In the new library, however, several of the charts use alto and two tenors. My bari guy is 70 years old and already carries the bari and alto, and I'd really rather not ask him to carry a tenor too. Consequently, I'm wondering if there is an easy transposition formula that I can use to change the second tenor parts into baritone parts, and are the registers close enough that it is even a feasible thing to do?
Thanks in advance,

Subject: Sinatra Charts
Hi ALL
To you guys I have already traded with, I have lost all your lists, for which I apologize. The list is here in my 10x12 room but buried.

My vocalist is hooked on Sinatra and will only sing original Sinatra arrangements that he can find and sing along with on a record since he cannot read music. So I would be grateful if you would send me a list of only Sinatra arrangements.
I would be grateful to new friends that send me their list.
Thanks to ALL

Subject: Chart Wanted
I am looking for the chart "Randi" by Phil Woods, I remember hearing it years ago when he played with the Clark Terry Big Bad Band. My Dad always loved the tune, and "Randi" is my Mom's nickname. Dad passed away last December, and this year in December is the "unveiling" of the tombstone. I gathered together the reamining members of the band we used to play with, and would like to play the chart as a memorial to my Dad at the gravesite. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. A pdf file would be fine.

Subject: Glen Daum charts wanted
Just discovered a really amazing big band chart arranged by Glenn Daum. Ever hear of him? I've searched the usual suspects libraries but can't find anything by him. Any chance some of you have some of his charts? I'd be most appreciative and happy to share some of my charts with you. Glen Daum is definitely worth finding and playing. His arrangements have been played by ensembles ranging from the Count Basie Band to the Boston Pops. His television credits include news programs ("ABC World News Tonight," "CNN Headline News" and "Face the Nation"), daytime dramas ("All My Children" and "General Hospital") and Turner Classic Movies. He also specializes in film and animation assignments, having won two Emmy Awards for his work on "Sesame Street". He's an Eastman School of Music grad and earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Stanford University. Recently he arranged a piece for and shared the conducting on "Bone-A Fide Brass" a new CD with soloist Joesph Alessi of the New York Philharmonic and Imperial Brass.
